Singer Songwriter, Kate Burie, was born in northern Wisconsin and grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She comes from a musical family and has always enjoyed music and singing.
At 16 she moved away for 10 years to pursue education and life experience. She began playing the piano, guitar and writing music at 19; it was during this time Kate felt called to do missions and ministry work.
Kate graduated with a Church Ministries & Music degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 2003. She has worked full-time as a Music Minister, part-time as a Children’s pastor and voluntarily in various positions in church ministry for years.
Currently Kate attends a House Church in Niagara, WI (www.livingoaksministries.com) and is a weekly chat host at Church Online (www.lifechurch.tv).
Throughout the past five years Kate has stepped out to play her own original music in public, playing at local Farmer’s Markets, Coffee Shops, Churches, Benefit Concerts, Special Events, Harmony By The Bay and at the Cup O Joy in Green Bay (www.cupojoy.com) and Lifest (www.lifest.com).
The last 10 years of her life have created many opportunities from which to write. In listening to her music you will hear her excerpts of her life stories, experiences and thoughts she seeks to share her heart through song - to challenge, inspire and encourage.
